Founded in 1980, Apex Microtechnology was purchased by the premier mixed-signal processing component manufacturer, Cirrus Logic, in 2007. Apex Microtechnology has been sold to a private investor group after a five-year stint as a branch of the Austin, Texas-based creator of complicated chip designs. Tucson, Arizona, is the company's headquarters.
